Beryl lives in Canada and was born in this area. She came to visit us in Brymbo in 2010 and was able to read some of her excellent poems at one of our evening meetings. She was over in Wales again from 19th June to 5th July 2011 and launched her new book, In Praise of Darkness on 24th June. We arranged an extra meeting on Wednesday 29th June for Beryl to read to us. This was in the Conservative Club at 7:30pm and thanks to Gweneth at the Conservative Club for arranging a light buffet.

Whilst Beryl was across, we also took the opportunity to record an oral history interview with her. Meanwhile, she has sent us some photographs to look at which are in the photographs section.
