Members will recall that the Forum purchased a range of equipment for use by members as follows:

  • Main Resource Computer (Office software including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Desktop Publishing. Connection to the Internet is not currently available.)
  • Scanner – A3
  • Printer – Colour laser A4

The equipment is now set up for use in the Collections Centre at Wrexham County Borough Museum and Archives: potential users are asked to pre-book the equipment via the Collections Centre, which is open Monday, Wednesday & Friday 2-4pm, contact details:

Consumables provided free of charge: A4 paper and printer ink.

Please note that other consumables –eg A2, A3 paper, photo paper and disks can be obtained from Jones the Computer in King Street, Wrexham. Discounted rates are available to Forum members. Members may choose to use other suppliers, but please ensure that good quality material is used – poor quality material may damage the equipment.

The Forum also has a range of portable equipment available for use away from museum premises

  • Data Projector with portable stand and screen. This is suitable for PowerPoint presentations.
  • Digital camera
  • Portable Display Stands. There are two sets of display stands; each consists of six portrait-orientated panels three over three, with a small landscape-orientated header panel. Each set has its own carrying case.
  • PA System
